Interactive Metronome

Interactive Metronome (IM) is an evidence-based assessment and training tool that measures & improves Neurotiming, or the synchronization of neural impulses within key brain networks for cognitive, communicative, sensory & motor performance.

Precise timing is responsible for a stellar athletic performance, or a group of musicians making a perfect melody or it can even be the key to a funny punch line. Timing is responsible for a person being able to walk without falling or speaking without stuttering. Timing is what allows us to focus, process language, keep our balance and have smooth gait, play a sport, and even read.

Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing Program (LiPS)

Lindamood-Bell has pioneered programs to develop the sensory-cognitive processes that underlie reading and comprehension.

Traditional reading and tutoring programs focus on content instruction. Lindamood-Bell programs focus on the sensory-cognitive processing necessary for reading and comprehension.

Orofacial Myology

Orofacial Myology is the study and treatment of oral and facial muscles as they relate to speech, dentition, chewing/bolus collection, swallowing, and overall mental and physical health. Myofunctional disorders, orofacial myofunctional disorders, oral myofunctional disorders, oral myology, all of them fall under the orofacial myology umbrella. The names have been evolving through the years and there is a consensus to use Orofacial Myology as the main name for the field.

OrofacialMyology is the largest training provider of continuing education for Orofacial Myologists. They prepare you to be qualified to evaluate, diagnose, and treat orofacial myology disorders including tongue tie determination, thumb/finger sucking elimination, treating the chewing and swallowing process in detail, “tongue thrust,” airway concerns, speech articulation connections, relationship to orthodontics and much more. The PROMPT Institute is dedicated to the investigation of tactual sensory systems and their critical role in the development/rehabilitation of speech, language, cognition and interaction.

TalkTools was created to provide the best Oral-Placement Therapy (OPT) techniques, training, and tools to clients, therapists and parents. Our therapy techniques add a tactile component to feeding and speech therapy, enabling clients to “feel” the movements necessary for the development of speech clarity.
